L’histoire d’un amour interdit entre un jeune lycéen Stig et son professeur Viola. Nous sommes en 1943, la guerre mondiale se déroule au delà des frontières de la Suède. Stig et ses camarades de classe ne parlent que de sexualité. Par sa liaison avec Viola, Stig découvre avant ses camarades le plaisir du fruit défendu. Frank, le mari de Viola, représentant de commerce aime l’alcool et il lui arrive d’être infidèle. Le hasard amènera Frank et Stig à se rencontrer et une relation étrange va naître. A tale of forbidden love between Stig and his school teacher, Viola, who is 25 years his senior. It is 1943. There is a wolrd war going on beyond Sweden’s borders, but for Stig and his pubescent classmates in Malmö the main subject of conversation is sex. Stig’s relationship with Viola means that he is the first to taste the forbidden fruit, the first to find himself on the fast lane to the adult world. Viola is married to Frank, a travelling salesman with a drinking problem who deals in lace lingerie and stockings. He is fond of his life, but is occasionally unfaithful to her. A chance meeting between Frank and Stig gives rise to a strange relationship.
