Jon, un professeur d'âge moyen va se marier demain, pour la deuxième fois, avec une de ses anciennes étudiantes qui est deux fois plus jeune que lui. Mais tout n'est pas rose. Premièrement, il y a sa future belle mère qui s'oppose violemment au mariage et qui demande le remboursement de ses dettes avant la nuit de noces. Deuxièmement, son projet de construction d’un terrain de golf sur la petite île Flatey où ils vivent n’avance pas comme il le voudrait. Et troisièmement, sa très émotive première femme hante chacun de ses mouvements. Quand les invités commencent à arriver sur l'île, Jon commence à avoir peur...
Jon, a middle-aged professor is going to get married tomorrow, for the second time, to one of his ex-students half his age. But it's not all roses. First, there's his cranky mother-in-law-to-be who violently opposes the marriage and who demands repayment of Jon's loan before the wedding night. Second, his plans to build a golf course on the little island of Flatey where they live aren't going at all to plan. Third, the continual presence of his emotional first wife is haunting his every move. When the guests start flocking to the island, Jon starts getting cold feet...
