Martje est la charmante patronne d’une teinturerie. Son personnel l’adore. Quand le vieux chauffeur livreur prend sa retraite, Loe présente sa candidature. Il a fait la route vers le sud pendant des années mais veut s’installer parce que “le café et les hamburgers sont meilleurs en hollande“. Martje et Loe sont irrésistiblement attirés l’un par l’autre. Mais leur histoire est un fiasco avant même d’avoir débuté. Une adolescente russe en situation illégale, mère d’un nouveau-né se présente alors. Martje décide de s’occuper du bébé.
Martje is the amiable boss of a laundry. Her staff love her. When the old driver retires, Loe applies for the job. This truck driver has driven to the South for years, but wants to work for the laundry 'because Dutch hamburgers and coffee are the best'. Loe and Martje feel an irresistible attraction to each other. It looks as if the inevitable is about to happen but the flirt turns into a fiasco. An illegal Russian teenager arrives, mother of a newborn child. Martje starts caring for the baby.
